Mexican War

He was a very determined man that hade to get over many obstacles in his life to come as successful as everyone knows him today by such determination as to rise from year to year in the estimation of the faculty. In June 30, 1846,he was awarded the brevet rank as second-lieutenant this was right before the start of the Mexican war, during the Mexican War he was ordered to fight for his country with the First Regular artillery, with which he fought with great men such as General Scott, and Vera Cruz. He was often recognized for his bravery and tactician.
